NEMI shares the view that scientific questions aiming to understand natural phenomena are increasingly complex, requiring different areas of knowledge to work together in order to overcome difficulties inherent in scientific research. For this reason, the works carried out by our team have collaboration from different labs and institutions.
Laboratory of Integrated Control of Insects
With over 35 years, the Laboratory of Integrated Control of Insects (LCII) has been conducting research with the goal of integrate chemical and biological control methods for insect pests. The LCII intent to develop new techniques to meet the demands of agriculture in Brazil, aiming to use less harmful methods. Currently, projects on the development of phenological models have been carried out in collaboration of LCII.
Soil Ecology and Ecotoxicology Lab
The Soil Ecology and Ecotoxicology lab (NECOTOX) develops research on Soil Ecology and Ecotoxicology in agricultural and forest ecosystems. Currently NEMI and NECOTOX collaborate on projects on soil macrofauna as a bioindicator of environmental quality and ecosystem services.
