Environmental data:

The National Institute of Space Research (INPE) provides free environmental data for use in research and educational activities. These data include climatic information, vegetation cover, soil map, vertical distance to drainage, among others.

WorldClim provides global climate data with a 1km² resolution. These data can be used for different purposes, including ecological niche modeling.

CLiMond provides global climate data, including projections for the different scenarios of the fifth assessment of the IPCC /UN.

GlobCover is maintained by the European Space Agency (ESA) and provides data on land cover at the global scale. The land cover map includes 22 classes with different types of vegetation, mosaics between natural vegetation and cropland and urban occupation, among others.
